J'Alan Terry, ATH Cleveland-Bradley Central, TN

Post by BrentVU »

VU got a midweek visit this week from J'Alan Terry, a multipurpose athlete from Bradley Central in Cleveland, Tennessee, and a guy that they would really like to get. Sounds as though he had a good visit, but did not commit... but I predict he'll come around within the next month or two. The main competition for him is Kentucky. P.S. VU also really likes his CB teammate, Mason Goree.

Meanwhile, VU OC Tim Beck was in Baxter, Tennessee Wednesday to check out Bronzden Chaffin, a 6-4 190 dual-threat QB at Upperman, who had an amazing sophomore season in leading the Bees to a 14-1 record and 4A state runners-up (they lost to Pearl-Cohn in the finals). He reminds me a little bit of Walter Taylor. Want to see a little film? You got it.

A VU coach was spotted Thursday at Stephen Decatur HS in Berlin, Maryland, home of the undefeated state champion Bulldogs, and the school that produced 2024 VU signee QB/TE Brycen Coleman... doubtless VU was there to check out Coleman's junior teammate Davin Chandler, a 6-2 190 FS/WR... like Coleman, Chandler is also a star basketball player... in this video, you'll see Chandler making plays on defense, as well as catching passes from Coleman on offense...

DBs coach Jamaal Richardson has been in Texas this week, lots of offers going out the door. A pair of DB teammates at Ridge Point in the Houston area got offers Friday, one of them an ESPN 300, 4-star... Texas has been very good to VU the last two recruiting cycles...
