I’m not at all sure that we want him.

IDK. His real identity is plenty public. Ole Miss journalism grad? NFL podcaster mostly titans?
But he has scant few posts on twitter lately. What's his motivation for finally posting about VU basketball all of a sudden?

He's not a troll account, but I apologize if the information is unverified.
Re: Malik Diaz with Vanderbilt in top 3?
It could be that he didn't want to leave VU in the first place but CJS made it clear that he wasn't going to get to play as long as he was the coach. Even if he didn't express it directly, the playing time made it fairly obvious that this was the case. It is also possible that CMB recruited Dia either as a HS prospect or when he first entered the portal. It is certainly weird that he would return to the school that he left just a year ago, but that would be my guess.

My guess is that he wants to renew the academic ties he formed with VU earlier in his career -- professors, tutors, study groups, etc. And I hear that he absolutely loves our library.

I think we have enough evidence that he's difficult to coach and sort of a pain in the ass. I don't blame either Jerry or the Belmont staff for being less than thrilled.

If CMB wants him, I'm glad to have him. He's clearly a talented player and can do things on the court to help us.
He does appear to be high maintenance, and if that bothers CMB so he takes a pass ... then I'm glad to take a pass too.
But while he appears to be high maintenance, I haven't seen anything suggesting he's a team killer or an absolute jerk so ... sure. I have not problems if he returns.
