I think Colin Smith will stay. He went to the top academic high school in Dallas, and I know academics are important to his family. I bet Coach B wins him over.

I am intrigued by the notion that Dort may stay. His presence at the presser was not expected (by me) and may indicate that his issue (which none of us know what happened and how it was adjudicated) may have been resolved.

In fact, the presence of all the players at the presser was a bit surprising, as I wouldn't expect anyone who is for sure leaving to have bothered to attend. Even if it was mild curiosity that brought them, it says to me that there is a chance to retain them.

IIRC, Baldwin and Jones attended the CBD presser, though the NBA was calling them, not another school.

As I was walking out of the concluded drew presser, noticed that MFD and Roberson (?) were sort of messing with Baldwin over "showing up at the presser when he knew he wasn't coming back." Melanie Balcomb showed up at the last minute and it looked sort of uninvited. Within a couple of days, indeed she was pink slipped. #awkward

Dort might stay. He got a deferred adjudication on the criminal charge and no one knows what Vanderbilt did with the internal investigation. The incident did happen- no doubt about that- but perhaps he has remediated himself enough. I have no problem with him staying. Alcohol and youth cause some bad decisions....
