VU players aware of Freeze's comment, Mizzou, UK, VU have "lesser rosters"

Here's your bulletin board material for this week... in leadup to his game with Missouri, Auburn coach Hugh Freeze made a comment about coaches that were doing well with "lesser rosters", naming Missouri, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt...



Asked about that comment yesterday, C.J. Taylor said he was "on social media a little bit", and that he and the players were aware of the comment... "we saw it, I'm sure a bunch of my teammates saw it, but"... (rolls his eyes here)... "we'll see at the end of the week."

I personally don't have a problem with it. Seems objectively true- even if we are much more talented than everyone thought going in to 2024. That said- all for it if our players are fired up about it!

Thing about these "bulletin board" propaganda battles is, the statement doesn't have to be false for your team to take umbrage at it. Saban's comments about playing in Nashville weren't wrong at all -- especially before this year -- but he was smart enough not to express them until he was retired and making an opponent angry was someone else's problem.
