Re: Must rebound and play defense to have a chance to win
We are in a great spot for playing Auburn. I’m sure they are already thinking about their game against Bama this weekend!

Tyler Steen also played for the Eagles, of course, but, he transferred to Bama for his last season. He was a great lineman for VU and you can’t blame him for finishing his career in grad school at Bama. It also probably improved his draft stock!

Re: Auburn retains their #1 ranking, kinda
From memory I've got Indiana (circa 1987) , NC (Dec. 1987) , Kentucky (1993), Florida (2007) , and TN (2008). Can't recall any since. Let's see... https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/vanderbilt/men is terrific for old games and has rankings, but I don't see the #1s compiled anywhere handy....

Re: You know, Texas is actually kinda good.
I realize USC has been at the top of our league for a while, but, this year they don’t scare me as much. They really don’t have a strong inside presence and if our ladies believe in themselves, there is no reason we can’t give them a lot of trouble and could possibly beat them. I believe Texas was a...

Re: Texas with a few regular contributors out or questionable
I stated many times before the season started that Tanner was going to surprise everyone and he has. I thought he would be a much better shooter, but, that hasn’t been the case…he’s actually been very poor. The great thing about him is that he doesn’t take bad shots, so, when he’s on the court, you ...

Re: Green & Pissott
Pissott was a 5-star recruit and #11 in the country! She has not been performing this year as she is having to play out of position. She played, as a starter last year, on the wing which opened up the inside for Washington and Pierre with her 3 point shooting. I believe we would take 5-star players ...

Re: Three fifth year seniors
True…..I’m not saying she doesn’t and we have had some excellent games. The Alabama game should not have been that close. We allowed one player, who is a generous 6’ and who just came back from injury, to score 36 points, mostly in the paint. If the viles had played us like they did last night, we w...

Re: Vandy-Texas game thread
If I was coaching pissott I would rip her an absolute new one for her lazy standing around and soft passes. She was horrible last 5 mins. Why is she out there Why the hate? I’m certainly glad you’re not coaching….you know very little. What did Oliver, Nwaba and Kapinus give us? 0 for 5 from the fie...

Re: Three fifth year seniors
Silver lining: It doesn't look like they utilized a ton of our possessions (i.e. missing FG or FT, turning it over) so most of our "utilization" should be returning next year if we're keeping them happy. How can they stay happy when we see the same rotation over and over with the same res...
