Re: EvanMiya

I would like to see us beat the teams we should obviously beat and be competitive against the top teams in the league. Tournament appearances will be a bonus in season 1. Mostly agreed. Though for all the talk of how we've upgraded the talent, if we fail to even make the NIT I will be grumpy at the...

Re: EvanMiya

Even Miya has Vandy at #39. Seems optimistic but I’ll take it. http://evanmiya.com/?team_ratings Probably a reflection on the talent that was brought in. What is much more difficult to quantify is what team chemistry will be, how well the coaches will be able to adjust to the league, or even know w...

Re: A little personal attention in practice

https://twitter.com/VandyMBB/status/1841605479878803606 It probably speaks to both CMB and Jason Edwards that they are having this discussion. That Edwards wants to be a team player and not a ball hog (as he is obviously capable of carrying a heavy volume and being successful at doing so) and that ...

Re: Lunardi's way too early brackets are out

I would probably take the over at 9.5. The SEC is stacked this year, so there's a lot of room for VU to improve and still be 11th or 12th. That's frustrating. The good news is, we have some real upside both this year and in the near future. I don't know what the product will look like but it sure f...

Re: Lunardi's way too early brackets are out

Well, he has to earn his paycheck somehow. If the SEC does have 10 legit tournament teams other than us, that will make it hard for us to have the season we are all hoping for. I'd like to think that we can make the tourney, or at least be well on the bubble ... but unless we are a LOT better than ...

Re: VU makes the final two for Jermaine O'Neal, Jr.

The NBA is a league full of players who had parents who were big time athletes. Basketball in general is a sport where genetics mean a great deal. It isn't just Scotty Pippen Jr. It is Luke Kornet, Jeff Taylor, Saben Lee, and going back further, Drew Maddux. This doesn't even get into siblings, lik...
