Re: Podcast: Diego Pavia on Bussin' With the Boys
He's here - thankfully so most of us will love his swagger and hope it continues to translate to the field. I can easily see, however, how opposing fans would hate his brashness and directness. I mean imagine he's QBing the evil institute to the East, he would be the next Demarcus Cousins to Vandy f...

Re: Caden Harris flips commitment to Georgia
C'mon Dore Nation - Don't take it personally. If a 4 star flipped from Georgia to Vandy would you be complaining? Ok, jokes are over, not sure that'll happen but you get the point. I truly believe at the end of the day, the transfer portal is twice as important as the freshmen recruits (maybe more)....

Re: Minor league model
In basketball though, I just don't want to be associated with the Grizzlies. I'm thinking the Cavs or Pacers. In July 2014, the Grizz announced a pledge of $2.5 million to St. Jude children's hospital. In addition to this commitment, members of the team visit St. Jude patients and their famil...

Re: NIL and the changing landscape
This is how a free market is supposed to work, but damn, I miss the humility, the team loyalty, and the grit-before-glory attitude.

Minor league model
So as we witness the end of college athletics as we know it as it morphs into a de facto minor league system, I'm thinking in football, Vandy could be say a AA franchise for the Falcons while UT serves as the AAA franchise for the Titans. I say this a bit tongue-n-cheek but this appears the directio...

Re: Seems Alabama has circled a date on its schedule
Bama has some work to do to regain relevancy and respect in college football. Going after Vanderbilt doesn't exactly make them look like they are making those strides. They should be MORE angry about the UT, Oklahoma and Michigan losses. It's like Vandy being upset with ETSU in 2021 for the butt-who...

Re: I was afraid of this …
I think we were all afraid of this. Constantly having to comeback doesn't scream dominance as nothing has been easy for this group. Louisville just generally seems to be a bad matchup for Vandy for whatever reason. This is a resilient group, don't count them out but I wouldn't set my plans to be her...

Re: Congratulations to all football graduates
Despite everything that's changed, getting that degree is what it's all about. Graduates Day is Friday ( streamed live at this link ), and undergraduate commencement is Saturday at 9 am at GEODIS Park. [img=https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GqbuzUZWYAEmy5a?format=jpg&name=small /] How many football p...

Re: OT (sort of): I think UT upgraded at QB
If all goes well, his OL will be porous, receivers slow and not running effective routes and RB's ineffective at moving the ball. This will mean he can't be successful and will just take shot after shot and his footwork will develop like Cutler's did here (that is to say he will be throwing off his ...

Re: Exhibit A of the sorry state of college athletics
So just playing devil's advocate. If you get a job offer for say $250K and you accept but then a day or two later you get a better offer for say $350K with more benefits do you stick with your acceptance out of some moral high ground or do you do what's best for you, your family and your career? Ho...
