Re: Photos of Atlanta Olympic Stadium / Turner Field / Center Parc Stadium

And btw the last two Vanderbilt football games I attended in Atlanta were not very fun, they were both in Midtown off North Avenue  One was definitely 2002, one in 2016 or 17 maybe?

Hopefully this one turns out better than those

Re: Photos of Atlanta Olympic Stadium / Turner Field / Center Parc Stadium

I assume they moved the statue of Hank Aaron out to the stadium in Cobb?

Re: Photos of Atlanta Olympic Stadium / Turner Field / Center Parc Stadium

Thanks for posting these Brent! I didn't realize that old Turner Field has been reconfigured into a football stadium for Georgia State. While I never attended a game at Fulton County Stadium as that was before my time in ATL, I was fortunate to attend a couple of dozen at Turner Field while living t...

Re: Most memorable opening season games

In my 40 + years as a Vanderbilt fan, here are some of my most memorable opening season games: 2. Unexpectedly competitive game vs. Alabama, 1995. It was Rod Dowhower’s first season as coach. His first game was against Alabama, another weird scheduling fluke when we started with an SEC team, televi...

Sounds like a classic case of "short guy syndrome" :D

For favorite current really good short QB's I like Brock Purdy

Re: College football would be better if there were no games like this one on Saturday

Regardless of the occasional competitive good game between FBS/FCS (Hello Idaho Vandals this past weekend) I'm with Brent on this one. It just ain't right. And the vast majority of them are blowouts where the FCS team is just doing it for a big payout. But as Auric points out there's likely no end t...

Not to nitpick, but Appalachian State has been an FBS school for about a decade now.

Re: College football would be better if there were no games like this one on Saturday

The differences between FBS and FCS will widen and the kind of scores we saw Saturday in the SEC against FCS competition will become more commonplace. Absolutely correct And television and private equity (once it gets involved in college sports, which is inevitable) Most likely correct
