I beg you guys to not let us down like the posers in the sport now in season.

You clearly started the season with more optimism than I. After 30 years of rooting for Vandy, I assume that in regards to the football team the ranking sale goes like this:

0-1 wins - wow. we sucked more than usual
2 wins - mild disappointment
3 wins - the benchmark total
4 wins - hey! we sucked less than usual!
5+ wins - enjoy the ride, it might be another 5 years before we do this again

Preseason expectations don't figure into this because, except for 1 or 2 years of Coach Poach, we've never truly had any.
